Thanks for fixing it guys. Although as mentioned above it has cost me a trading day as well. Perhaps some more investment needs to be made in redundancy sooner rather than later.

      Thanks for the further feedback.

We are currently working toward advancements in this area. For example, in the past ,data would be restored over the weekend, but this time we were able to restore the data on the same day.

Moving forward, we have instructed our overnight staff to call our system admin directly to address these instances earlier on to help lessen the impact.

I am closing this thread as all data has been restored.
Thanks for fixing this! One thing i want to mention though... it backfills on my one minute chart, but on my range chart it still has that gap. What i can do?

          Hello trader4,

What instrument is missing the tick data for your range chart?

FYI: Range- and Tick-Charts for Instrument FGBL are affected by gap too (missing the tick data).

                Hello,

I have checked all of these markets reported (NG, CL, GC, FGBL) on both minute and tick and can confirm that the data is on these servers.

It is required that your restart NinjaTrader in order to connect to the redundant data server. Please ensure you have taken these steps.

If restarting, reconnecting and reloading does not backfill your charts for this period this morning, please take the follwoing steps

                -Shut down NinjaTrader
                -Navigate to Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db
                -Delete the "Cache" folder
-Restart NinjaTrader and reconnect to your data feed

Once reconnect, please right click on the charts missing data and select 'reload all historical data'.

If these steps do not resolve the missing data, please send an email to my attention at support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and reference this post.

                    missing CL data

Hi all is anyone else missing todays(morning session)CL tick data. I have minute data but if I switch to a tick chart it is not there. I am using CQG and have no data since 2-15-13 except for when this evenings session began.
                    Thanks in advance

                      Hello,

                      Thank you for your post.

Open the Instrument Manager by clicking Tools > Instrument Manager.
In the Manager, select CL from the list on the right then click Edit to open the Instrument Editor.
In the Editor, navigate to the Misc tab and scroll down to the Contract Months section - select that property then click the '...' button which appears.
In the Contract Months menu, select the 04-13 contract.

Which rollover date is shown here?

                          Hello,

Please change this date to 2/16/2013 then click OK to exit the menu. Click OK again to exit the Instrument Editor then once more to exit the Instrument Manager. Finally, load a new CL 04-13 - do you encounter the same behavior?

                              Hi newbie0101,

Great - I'm happy to hear that this did the trick for you.

One great way to spot a roll over date based issue like this one is to look for an abnormally large bar like the one which was shown in your second image. This type of plotting typically indicates that historical data from one contract is being spliced with real-time data from another.

If other questions come up please let me know.
