    Login Failed error message

    Hi, I'm trying to connect to FXCM with a demo I just got, but I keep getting the attached error message. What should I do to connect to FXCM demo on NT?

    Hello werido,

    You may follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader to try and resolve your problem:

    * Close all running applications.
    * Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.

    * From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 and click Remove.

    * Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).

    * Reboot your machine.

    * Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below:


    Note that this will note remove any settings/data inside NinjaTrader.

      two new data error messages

      OK, I did that and FXCM now does connect, however, I'm getting these two new error messages (attached) regarding loading data on the chart and historical data. How do I get the chart and historical data?

        Hello werido,

        Please disconnect from FXCM, reset the instruments and restart NinjaTrader.

        To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

          Ok, thank you, that worked. It seems that FXCM only provides 3 days of historical minute data, is there any way to get more from FXCM (to test strategies on their data)?

            Hello werido,

            I am able to receive historical minute data from FXCM for the past 5 days.

            Please make sure you are requesting 5 days of data on the chart.

            You can do this by right clicking on the chart, selecting Data Series, then in the Data Series window selecting 'Days to load' setting to 5 and pressing OK.
