Merge Data error

Hmm ... have not yet tried but you could delete the instrument itself (beware: trades likely would be gone too).

Hi Dierk

I had tried that .. No joy.
- Deleted the ym 1207 from the default and all other lists
- disconnected from historical feed .. so the data would not come back
- format data series to ym 1207 .. (was ym-0308)
- Data was all there ... 3 or more months of it.

So without a purge or clean up , it looks like the DB will continue to grow as time progresses... I think there will eventually need to be a resolution to this.

Thank you for the delete option. I will use this next futures cycle.

However, there is no way to know what old instruments are in the NT database, other then memory or hunt and peck with old names.

It would be nice to be able see whats there.

Can't merge

Tried merging the 12-07 contract with 03-08 and get the following error.

No day data available for from instrument
no minute data available for to instrument
no tick data available for to instrument.

Then I look at my charts after restarting and nothing has changed. Still don't have enough bars on my chart to display my indicators.

I've looked through this post and others and tried the solutions to no avail.

Problem is the same as Mike' above. All of the data is stored, exported and imported, but I must be missing something because I get the same error msg as Mike. I'm using Zen-Fire so I don't need or expect Day data, but the minute and tick are stored.

Any ideas?

This does not work since you don't have data for tomorrow. You want to merge at contract rollover boundaries in the first place. Try setting the date to the 21st, it will likely work.
