    Position Marker PnL Stops updating

    Good Morning:

    When using chart trader, if the connection drops, even just for a second and re-connects the PnL on the position marker quits updating. I've have reproduced this with both Interactive Brokers and Kinetic connections. The PnL on the order panel to the right and on the positions tab at the Control Center keeps updating properly. Also if you start NT and don't Reload All Historical Data for the instrument being traded to fill in all data gaps it stops updating too, See attached Screen Capture.

    I cannot reproduce on a Kinetick connection.

    Can you please specify the exact steps need to reproduce? I will need the exact order of events, including how you are replicating a lost connection.

      Try This

      I closed All open orders and Workspaces

      Opened on New Chart with Default Params

      1 Min ES 09-11

      5 days data

      Plot Executions : DoNotPlot

      Enable ChartTrader

      Connect to Kinetic

      Reload All Historical Data

      Buy Market Qty -1

      Watch a few seconds, PnL values are insink

      Disconnect Kinetic

      Count to 5

      Reconnect to Kinetic

      Check PnL Values

          And back in sync.

                Thank you for the detailed steps. I have followed these steps and cannot reproduce.

                Can you please tell me which version of NinjaTrader you are using, NT V7.0.1000.6? You can check this under Help--> About.

                  Here are my data settings



                  If you have Get data from server checked (if available) checked the error does not occur if you disconnect and reconnect because it reloads everything when you reconnect. Make sure it is unchecked if is not already.

                    Hello,

                    Thanks - I can now reproduce when 'Get data from server' is unchecked. I will need to check with development to see if this is expected behavior.

                    Can you please clarify that reloading historical data will correct the issue after reconnecting?

                      Yes

                      Doing Reload All Historical Data puts the PnL marker on the chart back in sync with the PnL on the order panel.
