Am I correct the daily bar gets created each day at 7:00 AM UK time? You started NinjaTrader for example at 6:00 AM and you saw the daily bar created at 7:00 AM.
Or did you start NinjaTrader at 7:00 AM and once you bring up the chart, it has the daily bar?

You mention that the price bars were OK at 7:00 UK morning the next day - 7/1 and 7/4 instead of 7/1 and 7/5 after 10 PM UK.

Can you please clarify if you started NinjaTrader for example at 6:00 AM and you saw the daily bar created at 7:00 AM, so from 7/5 to 7/4.

Or did you start NinjaTrader at 7:00 AM and once you bring up the chart, it has the daily bar time stamped as 7/4?

Hi Jason, what I was saying that I could not tell at what time it was being corrected, just that when I started at 7am they were fine, but of course that could have been anytime between 00:00 & 07:00. It does not change at 22:00 or 23:00.

When I was using v4 I could correct it immediately via Data Series>Apply that no longer works with v6.

We experienced the same behavior on our end. After 5:00 PM EDT (10 PM UK) no new daily bar was created.

Am I correct you leave NinjaTrader connected to eSignal throughout the night/morning? Or do you start NinjaTrader at 7:00 AM?

I suggest to contact eSignal as well and verify at what time historical daily forex is updated. I suspect they use a different time than 10 PM UK to update daily data, which causes the behavior you reported. Once eSignal updates the historical data (somewhere between 0:00 - 7:00 UK), the daily data is displayed properly in NinjaTrader.

Hi Jason, this is curious. Last night at 2200UK I checked about 12 pairs, most of which updated at 2200 but some did not and would not, no matter what I tried!

I will check with eSignal. I have another package that I used originally with eSignal before NT so I will check that tonight to see when eSignal updates.

Tonight at 2200 some of my NT Bars update some pairs don't. With the other package using eSignal I get new bars at 2200. This NOT consistent with what esignal say as bars updated at1700 not 1800 EDT!

Whilst I understand DST I am a bit confused and wondering whether the Session timer is wrong during DST and that it should either be different during DST or I should not move Local time to DST, in other vwords stay on GMT/UTC . As I said I am a bit confused still!!

Currently we use DST, so as per the information of your chat, the daily bar will be created 18:00 EDT which is the same as 23:00 UK time.

Did the charts display a new bar after 23:00 UK time?

Hi Jason as I said some did at 22:00 some still didn't at 2300.

So are you saying new bars should not create at 2200 but 2300 during DST?

If so it gets a bit confusing as 4 hour charts change at 2200.

Correct, as per the chat information, it should create new bars at 23:00. It is currently daylight savings time and there is 5 hours diffence. So 18:00 EDT would be 23:00 UK time.

I am not sure why daily bars were created at 22:00. Could it be only the timestamp changed and no new bar was created?

How much instruments did update today and yesterday - is this the same amount?

Jason, there is no consistency.

I am not sure what else I can do, but unless you can confirm that all pairs change at 23:00 your end with eSignal I think it is up to NT to address. I am happy to help.

I will test it Monday 23:00 UK time and check if new daily bars are created on my end.

On a related note the end of the week market closes at 2100 UK DST but the daily chart has no final day bar, tonight the bar that has been July 8 is no more the last bar is labelled July 7 as at 22:30, may be it will adjust at 23:00 but I am off to bed!

The other package I have using eSignal is correct with the last bar correct, so I really think there is a flaw in NT somewhere!
