    chart drawings not lining up?

am i doing something wrong when i draw a trend line but they dont line up when i put them on 'all charts'? you can see where a 20 range clearly shows the bars crossing, but the 12 range doesnt even touch.

    Hello madLyfe,

Please note that a 20 range data series has a different time-axis than a 12 range data series. This causes the Line to be larger in the 12 range data series.

Can you please double click the Line to open its Properties menu. Select the Data-tab and check if the values are the same in both charts.

Yes, that is as expected behavior - the time values should be the same as well.

Please note that you are using two different range data series (12 & 20), so you cannot expect the time axis to be the same which means the line will be smaller as well.

you can see here that i have 34 range trend channel in blue but its not showing up on the 12 range expanded even.

u can also see that the 20 range not full screen you cant see it either, but if i maximize the 20 range chart then i am able to see it:

Can you please compress both axis of the chart and check if you see the blue line.

              Vertical Scaling
There are two methods to shrink or grow the vertical axis of the chart:

              1. Double click in the right or left margin to open the Chart Panel Properties window, or right mouse click in the price scale and select the menu Properties... Set the Range to Fixed and enter a Maximum and Minimum for the chart scale.
              2. Left mouse click in the x-axis margin and move the mouse cursor up or down as shown in the images below:

              Horizontal Scaling
To compress or decompress the horizontal axis, left mouse click in the x- axis margin and move the mouse cursor to the left or right. Alternatively, use the Hot Keys CTRL + Up and CTRL + Down.

If the anchor point of the drawing object is not included in the visible display, the drawing object will not be displayed. Please scroll the chart so it includes the anchor and the drawing object will appear. It will also work if the anchor point is close to the visible section (but still not displayed in the chart).

you can see that the 20 range showed up, but the 12 range didnt, and all my charts have 90days of data:

Can you please scroll the 12 Range chart to the left and check if the drawing object will appear.

The 12 Range chart needs to have an anchor point in display (or close to display) for the drawing object to appear. This indicates an anchor point is located around 23rd/25th. If the 12 Range chart diplays 27th/29th, the drawing object anchor is not close to the visible section of the chart, so the object will not be displayed.

that makes sense but sounds like a limitation. do you happen to know if there is something in the works where this would not be the case? so a line is a line and should be in view no matter where the chart is as long as its within price view.

Unfortunately we do not have something in the works to have this changed.

Anchor points of chart objects are placed in 'baskets'. This due to performance reasons.

Objects are only drawn when the basket is in the range of the displayed baskets.
If we would draw every object without the use of these baskets, it would have a negative performance impact.

You will just need to navigate your chart so the anchor points of the object is in visible dipslay (or close to visible display). Unfortunately, I do not see a different way.
