Yahoo EOD data problem for UK symbols

Any one from Euro zone please can you help settingup data feed from google?

The way I need is:

I have created a symbol list in text file named "FTSE 100"

FTSE 100 list conatains symbol of stocks and one symbol for FTSE 100 index

FTSE 100
----------------------------------
AAL.L
RIO.L
.......
......
.....
FTSE
.....
....
VOD.L
VED.L
......
.....
XTA.L

------------------------------

I imported this symbol file from Utilities -> import symbol

After this, I change symbol mapping for google in intrument manager.

I am able to download data for stocks but not the FTSE 100 index!!!!!!

I tried creating FTSE symbol in intrument manager by classifying it as an index and then moving into my symbol list "FTSE 100", still doesn't work.

The free data-feeds like typically won't throw an error when an instrument isn't configured correctly.

Let's take a step back: please provide me with images of the settings you're trying to use for this instrument.

Here are the screenshots and steps I followed:

STEP 1:

File-> Utilities -> Import Stock Symbol List...

Please check NT1 and NT2 screenshots

STEP 2:

Tool -> Instrument Manager -> select FTSE -> Edit -> Misc -> Google map --> edited to .FTSE

STEP 3:

File -> Connect -> Google

STEP: 4

Tool -> Historical Data Manager -> Download -> Expand FTSE 100 -> Select FTSE -> Click Download

The image of the Misc tab of the instrument editor is part of what I was looking for.
Can you provide an image of the definition tab showing the exchange you have selected as well?

If so, change the symbol mapping for this instrument to 'LF' and data should be available to you. (make sure to configure the instrument as an index, not a stock as shown in the images you provided earlier)

But what is the problem with google... it works for all other stocks? I wonder this must be tested in you testing environment.

Also wonder if any one have already done this setup.

The issue relates to the addition of the period in the symbols mapping value.

I'd suggest you move to Kinetick's EOD feed to load this data.

I got the data from Kinetick , however it has data only until 2002 !
