Hang Seng Futures index not working with eSignal

Please note that eSignal uses different mapping than NinjaTrader.

It should work using the default settings. Can you please remove the HSI from your instrument list in the Instrument Manager. Subsequently go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab and click Reset Instruments.

Restart NinjaTrader and add the HSI to your instrument list. Check if you receive data.

If not, can you please post screenshots of how you currently have the HSI futures instrument setup (Definition and Misc tabs).

Tried that, it didnt work Well yesterday I wanted to see if I was getting real time data, hang seng index real time data worked ok, but I was not getting real time data for the Futures. An there was nothing wrong with eSignal, because I tested the symbol and it worked ok.

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and attach the file to your next reply to this forum thread.

Also I've been told the Mini symbol is : MHI H1-HKF , this works in eSignal, how do I get this to work in Ninja?

OK. this worked, but I cant test this till next year when I get real time data.

When testing with your account connection on my end, I was able to load MHI data using the symbol which comes pre-configured in NinjaTrader - MHI.

Whooops, didnt see the MHI symbol, I thoight I had to configure it.

Question 1
Last question, I was SIM trading the Hang Seng Index yesterday (during ASIAN session) everytime I took a trade it said "order pending", it never once placed an order, please not this was for the Hang Seng Index with eSignal datafeed. Is this because you cant SIM trade the Hang Seng Index?

Question 2
I wanted to SIM trade the Hang Seng Futures, but as you know, I couldnt get live datafeed, so I hope I can SIM trade this?

Question 3
Also, I hope I can SIM trade the MINI Hang Seng Index

NOTE, all the feeds are coming from eSignal.

Hi ninjamouse,

Glad to hear you've got MHI working now as well.

1.) The sim orders on the Hang Sang Index wouldn't go through - indexes are not tradeable instruments.

2/3.) You should be able to trade both of these instruments in simulation one real-time data is streaming.
