IB Adapter Change & other errors

Instead of localhost can you please enter 127.0.0.1 and check if this will make a difference.

Can you please try the following steps. Make sure NinjaTrader is closed and go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->db and transfer the NinjaTrader.mdb file outside the My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5 folder at a temporary different location.

Start NinjaTrader and check if the error persists upon connecting to IB only.

If the error persists, please transfer back the original database in the db folder and delete the new one, while NinjaTrader is closed.

The database contains ATM templates, saved chart data and trade history.

Hello Jason,

This step seems to have resolved the issue. There is no more kaching, and IB.Adapter.Change error upon connecting to IB, whether it is the sole connection or as a second connection.

My old ninjatrader.MDB is just over 500MB.
What do I lose in that MDB?
Why does it grow so big?
Should NT not move some data to other places?
What is the difference between what is in MDB and the data under /db/data?
How would it impact backtesting ?

Hello Edward,

Good to hear the issue is resolved.

The database contains saved chart data, trade history and ATM strategy templates.

I am not sure why it had such a size. This could be an accumulation of the three items above.

The data folder contains all Market Replay data, which is saved outside the database, such as chart templates, workspaces, etc.

It will not impact backtesting itself.
