Reset of DB fails

Easily repeatable on my PC,, If u want to do a remote,, be glad to let you in..
I just go into the control center , tools, options,Misc tab,, press the RepairDB or Reset DB,, Then the MSG box after after a few seconds
"You need to restore manually. Error:
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID
{DE88C160-FF2C-11D1-BB6F-00C04FAE22DA} failed due to the
following error: 80040154.: Retrieving the COM class factory for
component with CLSID {DE88C160-FF2C-11D1-BB6F- 00C04FAE22D"

every time

then we get into all that renaming stuff that never worked for me..

Ninja Trader/ Zen Fire Simulated/Demo live data feed

The folks at Surefire Trading Challenge in South Africa seem to think that the data generated by a Simulated Account Demo, N.T. with Zen-Fire data feed is not live. They also claim that a Demo is not the same as a Simulated account.

Can someone in Ninja Trader knowlegable staff dispute this or clarified this claim ?

Hi Silversea,

I think you are confused with a few things here:
- There's such a thing as a Demo account. This is provided by the Zen-Fire broker and is a free Sim account with Live datafeed. It allows you to paper trade with Live data. This account expires after 2 weeks
- I'm not quite sure what you exactly mean with 'Demo is not the same as a Simulated account', but if you look at it, they provide a Demo which includes a Sim account, you also have for that Sim account a username and password which is part of the Demo I guess.
What it could mean as well is that the 'Simulated Datafeed Connection' is meant. If this is the case, it's a connected without Live data, it's internally generated, canned data. Pure for practice purposes.
