Live vs Historical

Thanks, I thought something like that might be the case. Do I need to backup that data before I delete it, or will I just be able to re-download it all if I connect to the historical data server again?

I just tried it, and now when I open a chart it is simply blank, though it is printing new streamed data to the chart.

Perfect, that's exactly what we were looking for. All data from this point on will be recorded directly from your Zen-Fire data feed.

But since I have had "store real-time bar data" checked, shouldn't I have access to the Zen-Fire data I've stored? The point of doing this was so I could view that data instead of the data from the NT server.

And by the way, I just opened a new chart for a time within the period for which I deleted the historical data, and the chart shows the historical data.

No, that data has been deleted. In fact, the data was overwritten each time NinjaTrader requested historical data from it's server.

So then there is no way to store and view Zen-Fire data if I ever want to connect to the NT historical data server, since it will all be over-written?

Thanks for your help, but I have to say that should really be changed. The way it is now makes it impossible to verify the integrity of one data source by comparing it to another. See what I'm saying? I can't compare Zen-Fire data to NT's own data if when I view NT's data the Zen-Fire data is automatically deleted.
