charts not backfilling

      Hello Radical,

      Can you please tell me what data feed provider you connect to in NinjaTrader.

      What suggestions did you already try on your end that I provided hanaa?

        I use zen-fire for data, historical data is enabled. I have tried every suggestion you gave in this thread, except for re-installing ninja.

          Please re-connect to Zen-Fire and try once more. We had an issue with historical data for 09-09 instruments using Zen-Fire. However, the issue has been resolved. I tested it on my end and I was able to retrieve historical data again.

          Let me know if this does not work on your end.

            I am now able to get backfill data for the Sep 09 contracts, thank you for resolving that in a timely manner. However, I still cannot merge data from 06-09 to 09-09, as per this thread: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ad.php?t=15078

              Do you have both the ES 06-09 and 09-09 available in the Instrument Manager?

              I suggest to create charts for both instruments.

              Subsequently perform the merge and check if it is successfull.

                I have done that, this is the error message I get, see attached image. Despite what the message says, I am able to view both tick and minute charts of the Sep 09 contracts. BTW, this is for YM in my case, not ES.

                  Hello Radical,

                  Try the following. Restart NinjaTrader and create two charts; YM 06-09 and YM 09-09.
                  Leave the charts opened and perform the Merge once more.

                  If the issue persists, please tell me what merge settings you used.

                      Well I tried doing it both connected and disconnected, neither worked. I have attached a screenshot of the settings I'm using.

                          ES fails to merge

                          I have followed the merge process and worked successfully on all the three instruments including ES (according to NT). However, when I open ES chart for 09-09, only the user text/annotations show up from the previous contract but no data. This problem is only with ES as the other instruments merge and display the data successfully. BTW, I have had problems with the ES contract not merging in the past contrary to the 'merge successfully completed' at the end of the NT merge process.

                            Please use a different date than today for the 'To date' and check again.

                              That seems to have worked for the most part--when I open a 09-09 60 min chart now, it shows the merged data, however, when I open any kind of CVB chart, the merged data does not show. Thanks for your help thus far.

                                Yup, it said tick data successfully merged but then when I checked it was still only the U9 contract. I even hit reload historical data...
