charts not backfilling

    charts not backfilling

    started having this problem 3 days ago.everything was working ok but now when i try to open my saved workplace it takes foreever to bring up charts i only use 3 timeframes tick charts in this workplace.any help to solve this problem please

    Hello Hanaa,

    I suggest to limit the historical data in your charts or reduce the amount of applied indicators.

    Restart NinjaTrader, but do not connect to your data feed yet. Reduce the amount of historical data, close some charts, etc.

    Connect to your data feed and check if all NinjaTrader windows load with data.

      thank you for your prompt reply but iam usinf only 5 days back of historical data.and problem is new.was working ok first

        I suggest to restart NinjaTrader and close the workspace.

        Create new charts and connect to your data feed. Check if all windows will load with data.

        If so, save it as a workspace. Restart NinjaTrader and check if the issue recurs.

          i already did just that i opened a new workspace with 1 chart only open and no indicators.still same problem.no charts.i called barchart my data provider they said all is ok at their ends..thanks.hope to hear from you

            Can you please verify if the lower left corner of the Control Center states 'Connected - *connection name*' in green.

            In addition, please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com, reference this forum thread and include 'Attn Jason' in the subject header.

            Include your BarChart login credentials in the email, so I can create and test your connection on my end.

                  I receive data on my end when connected to your BarChart connection.

                  Can you please tell me what instruments do not receive data in NinjaTrader.

                      Please delete your BarChart login credentials in post #7 (!). Click Edit and remove your login credentials (!).

                      I did receive real-time data for the ES 06-09 when I got briefly connected on my end using your connection.

                        still not working do you think reinstalling ninja trader would help?

                          That could be, however I suggest to wait with uninstalling the software for now.

                          Please restart NinjaTrader and remove the ES 06-09 from your instrument list in the Instrument Manager.


                          Go to Tools-->Options-->Misc-tab and click Reset Instruments.

                          Add the ES 06-09 back to your instrument list. Close all windows except the Control Center. Connect to BarChart.

                          Subsequently open up a new ES chart and check if all requested data is present.

                              You can uninstall NinjaTrader via the Windows Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs (XP), Programs and Features (vista).

                              Clear your browser cache.

                              Download and install NinjaTrader at the link below.
