    Thank you for the message.

    Please make sure you have allowed NinjaTrader through the Windows Firewall and added it to any Exceptions or Allowed Apps Lists within your Antivirus:

    Windows Firewall

    Ensure that NinjaTrader has been allowed through the Windows Firewall on all networks. Please follow along with this infographic:
    Antivirus Software

    Ensure that NinjaTrader has been added to any 'Exceptions' or 'Allowed Programs/Apps' kind of list within your antivirus software.
    • If you need to add NinjaTrader manually, the file path is as follows:
    • This PC > Local Disk (C > Program Files > NinjaTrader 8 > bin > NinjaTrader.exe
    ​Try opening NinjaTrader again and testing if the error is still appearing.


    If yes it is still appearing, please use the following steps to test a new Database folder:
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Go to Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > db, right-click on this folder and select 'Rename' and change the name to "db Old" and press Enter on your keyboard to save the name change
    • Reopen NinjaTrader and test to see if the error message is still appearing.

    ​If the error message is still showing, please email us at Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In your message please include a link to this forum thread and '03657467 ATTN Clayton' in the Subject line.

    Additionally, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
