Thanks. That corsair case does look nice. Most of my gear is from Danger den, I use their open air acrylic 'Torture Rack' case which is nice because it allows you to swap components really easily.

One thing I'd definitely recommend if you go with watercooling is to get good radiators such as the Feser XChanger series or the Thermochill line. They can be used with low speed fans whereas cheaper radiatiors will require loud high speed fans to get good performance.

The indicators are mine, I plan to release some of them publicly once I have a chance to clean up the code a bit.

Regarding your indicators, is that d9 series your own or is it retail?

    sefstrat,

Your porn did the trick, I'm all excited!

Regarding your indicators, is that d9 series your own or is it retail? You've got a lot of unique stuff going on there.

    Nice desktop too.

It would be incredibly interesting if we used our platform for realistic trading timing. Not just testing NT, but also our internet connection, our data feed, our executing broker.

We could all ran the same strategy:

    - check incoming ticks.
    - When MSFT last price > $23.00, place a market order for 1 share of MSFT.
    - We can then compare our fills.

I personally would be up for doing something like this, even if it costs me some commissions.

    Intel Pentium 4 3.00ghz, 2gb RAM, NT 6.5.1000.10 XP,

Question - clearly there is a wide range of test result times depending on processor type and configuration...

Does anyone have any views on what these might mean to actual trade execution performance/response?

    Thanks

    Hello,

To clarify, NinjaTrader 6.5 does not OFFICIALLY support a 64 bit OS. There are users who are able to run NinjaTrader 6.5 successfully as you can see, however we cannot provide support if they run into any OS related issues.

Do these results mean that I can run NT 6.5 on vista x64 or windows 7 x64 without any problem? What I heard from Ninja staff before was that 64 bit operating systems are not supported in NinjaTrader 6.5.

Please see response from Ninja staff to my question.

    *Response from Ninja staff

*64 bit operating systems are not supported in NinjaTrader 6.5.
*NinjaTrader 7, which is slated for a beta release in the second quarter, *will support 64 bit operating systems.
    *
*Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Has anyone else tested this out on Amazon's EC2 boxes?

I just tried on one of my images, with Amazon's "high-med CPU instance". My computer describes it as Xeon E5345 @ 2.33 GHz, 1.69 GB RAM. Windows Server 2003 R2 - Datacenter Edition.

Elapsed time: 5 minutes, 3 seconds.
