    Quad 45nm @ 2.5 vs. my dual at 3.4.... what a difference overclocking makes... you should squeeze more clocks out of that bad boy! It should be faster than mine when NT7 comes out though.

    Thanks Dierk, great news. We're still going to see a beta available for download on 6/30/09?

    Guys, sorry for hijacking this thread, but I thought this info would be relevant for those caring about HW performance:

    We decided that NT7 will support 64bit natively. Here are some key facts:
    - 64bit will be installed in addition to 32bit on your machine if you have a 64bit Windows
    - 64bit and 32bit NT share the same data (<my documents>/NinjaTrader) folder
    - thus you either can run 32bit or 64bit, but not both at the same time
    - 64bit adapter support will limited to:
    * NinjaTrader data server
    * barchart
    * YAHOO
    * new NT7 GOOGLE adapter
    * IB
    * GAIN

    More info will be provided as we roll first beta.

    My second X25-e ssd is here, will put in RAID 0 soon and test it out to see if it makes any difference to my benchmarks. I doubt it will help any bit though.

    Has it done anything else for your system? Do you use quote tracker? I am shocked that QT does not close any faster when you shut it down, it must be a CPU thing when it closes its threads while it saves settings on exit.

    Yes i920 multi is 20x max, it will auto increment to 21x in turbo mode if it "can", but I found best oc results have turbo off and hyperthreading off. But I am running on air, maybe with water you can leave HT on.

    dennho I've got (4) 32GB Patriot SSD's with a 3Ware 9690 in a R0 for my OS install. Sure everything is snappy but it really makes about zero difference over my last setup of (3) 320GB WD's with R0 when running Ninja. Ninja is all CPU.... and poorly at that with 6.5. But 7 hopefully will change all that...

    NT 6.5 w/o the largeaddress patch can't use more than 2GB, but NT7 will fix that so I suggest at minimum 4GB for anything these days. 6GB for Core i7 setups. I have 12GB because I am a geek and overkill is my middle name.

    I have my second X25-E SSD arriving soon, will try to put them in RAID 0, and redo the benchmarks. I'm not really sure if it will make any difference to the benchmark times though... is it more CPU, or hard drive access related? I am sure it is not the size of your ram anymore (take a look at my benchmark time w/ 2 gigs compared to 4 or 6 gig setups).

    multiplier is not locked per se but it has an upper bound of 20 (intel speedstep tech or whatever dynamically increases multiplier to 1 past whatever you set it at, so 21 is the true max multiplier)
