IB - P&L in Chart Trader

Hi Joy

I show both chart trader in the screenshot so you can see that the sim account is showing the total PnL, put the live account isn't showing the total PnL, it is 0.00 and it needs to show -1472.17 (see other screenshot)

Thanks for the information.

The realized PnL of the account will be displayed in the Chart Trader depending on which account you choose and not the balance as shown in the Account performance.

In the left hand Chart Trader, where the live account was selected the PnL was showing as 0 (zero) which matches with the live account realized PnL.

On the other hand the right hand Chart Trader where the sim account was selected, the PnL was showing as 51, which corresponds with the Sim realized PnL.

Thanks for the screenshot.

NinjaTrader pulls the PnL data as provided by your broker, if the later (your broker) provides the same. You can find from this list to know whether your broker provides the PnL balance or not http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...nt+information

Can you confirm that your broker is transmitting the right PnL balance.

My Broker are IB and how I understand they do provide me with "Realized PnL"
What I have to do,to see in NT all this data from IB.

Interactive Brokers
Values include commissions
Buying Power
Cash Value
Excess Equity
Intitial Margin
Initial Margin Overnight
Maintenance Margin
Net Liquidation By Currency
Realized PnL
Total Cash Balance

What is the realized profit in TWS? Is it a 0 (zero)/null value? is the realized profit in TWS tallying with NinjaTrader? Also did you put any live trades today?

Hello Michael,
Please provide me with your most current log and trace files.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

The log file will be named "log.YYYYMMDD.txt"
You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

The trace file will be named "trace.YYYYMMDD.txt"

The YYYY is the year, the MM is the month, and the DD is the date.

Hello Michael,
We didn’t received any email from you. As such I am are updating my findings here.

We did some tests and it seems there’s a bug with TWS. TWS is not returning any “Realized PnL” for EURUSD. Also, when TWS is restarted, it fails to return any “Realized PnL”.
Unfortunately, we can do little on this as NinjaTrader only pushes data as it receives the information from TWS.

I did send you a email, Report Nr. 606521, but I see now that I send you the mail with an other email adress then my NT account mail.

Anyway, I will wait until the new NT version is out and then I can update the TWS too. Maybe the problem goes away.
