IB - P&L in Chart Trader

    IB - P&L in Chart Trader

    I'm trading for real today. I'm up money, but the P/L in chart trader shows $0.00. I fixed this by exiting and reloading NinjaTrader. Then I see the real P/L as $260.80. But, once I change from Sim101 back to the real IB account again, it shows a P/L of $0.00. This might be a bug to fix. Any ideas?

    Thank you for your post.

    Can you check in your accounts tab when the realized PnL is reported as $0? Does this tab report it correctly?

      Yes.

      It displays correctly in the Accounts Tab and in the Account Performance Tab by checking only my IB Account. Thanks!

      Also, I do have "Show realized PnL when flat" set to "True" in Chart Trader.

      Also, I tried Reloading the NinjaScript. No luck with that

        Hello,

        Make sure you are on the latest version of NT, 6.5.1000.7. You can check under Help --> About.

        If not, download from here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/do...g_software.htm



        If you are on the latest version, please try the following:

        Please try repairing your database:
        1. Go to Tools --> Options --> Misc --> Repair DB

        Please try repairing your NinjaTrader Installation:
        1. Shut Down NinjaTrader
        2. Go to Uninstall Programs in the Windows Control Panel
        3. Select NinjaTrader and hit the "repair" button

        Please let me know if either solve your issue.

          Still have the same problem... running 6.5.1000.7 and did Repair DB.

            I just had one of our employees with a live account test this and it works as expected on our end.

            We will keep this case open.

            Please let us know if you notice any other patterns with the issue.

              Are you saying that when tested, you had the same problem? Or not?

                    I just got word that we were able to reproduce your issue after further testing.


                    Thanks again for reporting. This issue is specific to IB and is logged as a known issue. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimate on what this issue will be resolved.

                        Same problem here

                        Since today I'm trading NT Live and in the Chart Trader under PnL I see only 0.00. When a trade is active I can see the PnL moving but after the trade closed I can see only 0.00. With SIM I can see everything.
                        Do I need to change some parameters here?

                          Hello Michael,
                          Thanks for your post and I am happy to assist you.

                          Please follow the below steps to view the PnL in the Chart Trader:
                          • Right-click on the Chart Trader.
                          • In the context menu, click on Chart Trader Properties…
                          • In the Chart Trader Properties dialog, set the field “Show realized PnL when flat” to True.
                          • Click Ok.

                            How you can see in my screenshot, thats what I have and how you can see on the left side no PnL and right side I have on.

                              Thanks for the screenshot.

                              From the screenshot I could see, that Sim101 is selected on the right hand side Chart Trader while your live account is selected in the left hand side chart trader.

                              The reflected PnL is that of the account and not total of all account.

                              Please let me know if I can assist you any further.
