Trade sizes with IB

Hello,

This error comes from IB. You will need to contact them to figure out why they rejected your order. It looks like it has to do with the exchange.

Try manually placing an order using the FXPro and qty format .01M etc.

I tried to place a 0.01M order through FXPro, and I get exactly the same error message.

Did you check with your broker and ask them why they are rejecting the order?

Now NT can place trades without any rejection.

Setting up IBIdeal as exchange, I cannot run backtests anymore. The platform freezes and I have to shut it down.
Is there any way to keep both functionalities (trading and backtesting) running using IBIdeal (and not the Default exchange)?

What steps are you taking exactly and what is the unexpected result when you backtest? Do you get any errors in you log tab?

Changing the exchange should have no effect on backtesting.

Try pulling up a chart that backfulls with data as it normally should, then disconnect from your provider, then backtest while disconnected.
