Trade sizes with IB

You will need to contact your broker and determine why they are rejecting the order then.

Try going to Tools>Options>Misc tab and selecting Half pip for Quote Currencies in (FX).

My broker, Interactive Brokers, told me I need to talk to you.

There are two ECNs, IDEAL and IDEALPRO, with different prices and sizes.
When I log in into NT, I see the prices of IDEALPRO (min size > $25k).
I'm trying to run a strategy with 1k orders, but I get the warning I told you about. The orders get executed (it's paper trading) and the strategy gets terminated.

Try opening up TWS using IDEAL or IDEALPRO first then connecting to IB through NT.

Do you have two different logins?

Are you using automated strategies?

Are you using the FXPro?

It's just one login.

When I log in into the TWS, I can see two quotes for each pair: one for IDEAL and another one for IDEALPRO (called "Exchanges").

I have developed an automated Strategy (NinjaScript) and I want to trade it on a small scale.
I'm not using FX Pro.

I did as you wrote, but I still have a problem.

If from NT I choose "Currency" and then I place a $1,000 order, I get executed without any trouble. I get the symbol USDCHF and I see the small sizes typical of IDEAL.
If I select "Default" I get $USDJPY (with the $ symbol in front), the sizes become large (like IDEALPRO), and if I try to place a trade I encounter the same problem (Warning, min $25k).

When I ran the automated strategy from the chart, the symbol is $USDCHF, and I experience the same Warning message and get shut down.

I tried to place a few $1,000 trades directly from the IB platform TWS and had no problems.

Please remove all of your currency pairs from your default instrument list using the ">" button then add them all back and ensure that everyone of them has Ideal check and NOT IdealPro.

Once they are all added to your default list, please go back and check that the change took by selecting Edit for each pair again.

This time, running the automated strategy, I got the message "Unsupported order type for this exchange and security type" (387).
You can see my screenshot attached (on the right side of the image).

The order was
EnterLong(1000, "BUY");
ExitShort(1000, "EXITSHORT", "SHORT");

Of course!
As you can see in the screenshot scree_4 (attached in the email I sent you), now I have quotes and sizes from IDEAL, and I also got (automatically) the ticker names $currency pair Ideal.
This time, it seems a different issue (different error code).
