One you run it, you can close it; its done until you run it again and change the setting.

      Ok.

It seems it is done by changing the registry.

It used to have custom version, update every 1 hour is a little too slow

I also experience something similar. I trade with friends that use ESignal. I am generally 1 candle ahead of them.
ie: my 10:00am candle will close as the same value as there 9:59 candle. The values are generally the same, but one minute earlier,
I am using the latest version of Ninja and Zenfire. We are trading the ER, ES and FESX with 1 minute charts.
I sync the PC before opening Ninja. Can I sync the PC clock while Ninja is open and will it reset with the program open?

              I'm not totally sure...

Can an NT programmer answer this question. How does NT behave if you back the PC clock of 2 minutes while a chart is open and you're receiving data.

In terms of an hourly update, the change should be negligible to NT so that should be fine.

                Hello,

I do not work in the development department of NT but you should be able to shut down NinjaTrader, reset the PC clock, then re-open NT and the times will be synced to your PC.

In the event that the change in time is very small ( < 2 second) I don't believe you should have to shut it down. Can you please verify?

                  Thanks

                    Hello,

If the charts don't automatically sync, I always recommend a shutdown as described below. If you can adjust your PC clock down the to the seconds, there is no difference in procedure to sync.

Maybe you could clarify why you think there should be a change in the procedure for a small change vs. a large change and I could help further.

Do you think reload historical data will fix it without restart?

You can give it a shot. I don't think it would hurt to try.

i agree to the discrepency. i use IB data as a data sounce and run both Amibroke and NT chart at the same time. i can see that the AB chart is moving faster than NT. there seems to be a slight lag in NT chart.

in AB, you can control the refreshes to the candles being drawn which is set to 1 sec. this implies that AB will refresh the chart every second the data it gets.
I am not sure what the refresh rates for NT charting is. i am thinking that it is is more than 1 sec.

                            Hello junkone,

NinjaTrader uses by default a display update interval of .5 seconds. You can find this option in the chart properties. If you would enter a value of zero, it will update on each incoming tick (CPU intensive).

                              Moreyummy,

Reloading historic data after the fix will not do anything. The data you already have in your historical database is already timestamped. Any new data should now be accurate.

Yes, you are right. it need to reload to show the new setting correctly. Perhaps the old data are recorded, and will continue to show, until we delete and reload.

                                All are working now. thanks.
