What is tCount in T3?

Can anyone tell me what this parameter for our included T3 is and what effect on the values calculated increasing or decreasing this parameter has?

I'm not familiar with the T3 indicator but perhaps someone on the forum is, or, I suggest you contact the creator for more info.

I believe he is referring to the Tilson T3 indicator that is a system indicator in NT7. NinjaTrader is the author.

I was able to descern its use by looking in the language

reference where the parameters are explained somewhat. tCount = "the Number of smooth iterations".

In short, part of the calculations involves running the filter on itself multiple times, which smooths out the results at the expense of increased overshoot.

The vFactor parameter turns down the "volume" (Tillson's term) to then compensate for and remove some of the added overshoot.

The result is a smoother average, that is then adjusted to clean up the over shoot.
