Trade Copier (free)

Hi,

I downloaded and used the Trade Copier (free).

It used easy to set up. I'm encountering a major issue which is the size in my ATM is multiplied randomly. For example. I trade 15 accounts. so I set 4 instances with only one master account in each and I turned all them of them green. In my ATM I trade 10 MNQs but the trade executed for 60 MNQs. I further tested this on the sim accounts and just on 2 instances opened one trade executed 10 MNQs for each account same as in my ATM and without changing any settings I entered another trade and it was executed for 20 MNQs for each account. I was hoping to get help in what I'm missing using the copier that lead to the random size multiplication. Not sure if there is a discord support group? Thank you

Hi,
I faced the same issue when using BUY_LMT and SELL_LMT orders.
Seems MARKET orders are fine.
I tried to contact @zacharydw00 providing evidences and configuration but no answer till now.

I downloaded the free copier and have it configured with my tradovate accounts connected to ninjatrader. When executing a trade via tradingview, the order executes on the leader but not on the follower. Can anyone let me know what I could be doing wrong?

I have checked its code. This is a design flaw from the original author. Basically this will only happen if you have order quantity > 1 and it gets partial fills. For example, if you have a limit order with size of 10 MNQ contracts and only 5 are filled, it will ask the follower account to enter with market order of size 10. The next time your master order gets filled, it will do that again. So if your master order gets 10 partial fills, all your follower accounts will actually have an order quantity of 100. The market orders don't have this problem because they are filled instantly.

To resolve this, you have to provide a safe guard that checks if your master is only partial filled. The best practice is to move all the trade copying logics to the OnExecutionUpdate() method instead of the OnOrderUpdate() method.
