NT8B6 historic market data problem

    NT8B6 historic market data problem

    Hello,

    connected to IB as broker.

    Trying to display charts for 6E 12-15, FGBL 12-15 GC 12-15, FDAX 12-15 futures.
    I visualise 5 min bars and then 200 bars back, so really something simple.

    Chart loading takes ages, e.g. 15-20 seconds for GC 12-15, and it remains stuck in loading if I request weekly bars (would be 200 weeks back)...

    Wouldn't it be possible to load old data once for ever locally and then reload it only from the disk on the pc instead of reconnecting to the data provider?

    I can confirm that the data load with IB is very slow. It seems to have improved a bit compared with the previous beta version but it is still much slower than in NT7

      Hello,

      Can you tell me what version of TWS you each have installed which can be found under Help -> About -> Scroll to the Build #.

            I have NT7 as my production platform. Does TWS 950.2 work with NT7 ?

              Currently NinjaTrader 7 requires TWS 944.3.

                    downgraded to 950.2 tws. Same awfully slow loading... as with 952.1.

                    It is about 5 minutes loading... for me.

                      6 minutes loading time....

                      I am on TWS 950.2 and NT8 b6.

                      I had NT8 b6 running for 4 hours now with all charts updating in realtime.

                      Then I disconnect Nt8B6 and restart NinjaTrader.

                      Then I reconnect again to IB TWS , and loading time is 6 minutes before the charts get the real time update.

                      I have 5 data feeds in use, and I display them in 5 minute charts and also in daily charts.

                      I was disconnected only a few minutes, so I expect the data missing would be only a few bars back missing.

                      Why does this take 6 minutes to load? This is too long, I cannot use this for trading.
                      Just to remember, if i look at the charts from within TWS I see them almost instantly, , within 2 seconds!

                          IB YELLOW Light connection

                          I have loaded the latest IB TWS 950.2g and
                          NT8 version 8.0.0.6 64-bit (Standard) - BET, is this build 8?

                          My connection gives a yellow light, what does this mean and how do I fix it? I assume a green light is needed.

                          Not getting any historical or live data following a couple of days ago when I first loaded NT8. Migrated stuff from NT7, wondering if I have that data, but nothing through the NT8 connection.

                          Have gone through the settings for TWS and NT8 several times, also get the same result with Gateway.

                            Can you please first open TWS->Login the within NinjaTrader go to File->Connect->Select your IB connection and let me know if you then connect successfully.

                              Yes, that is working fine. But still data load is very slow.
