Hi Kyle

The chart update interval setting of eg: 30 seconds which you set will be changed to default 0.5 seconds once the bar timer indicator is added to that chart. Give it a try please.

I see no such behavior on my end. Are you following these exact steps:

1. Open a new chart.
2. Change the update interval to 30, then click OK.
3. Apply BarTimer
4. Open the Properties menu and check the update interval.

On my end, the setting remains at 30.

Yes my freind the settings remain at 30 but the chart (price and candlesticks) update more freqently - like all the time.

I have already opened a new chart in a new work book and it works fine until indicators are added and I have narrowed it down to the bar timer. (well there may be others but the bar timer is my culprit)

Hi Kyle,

With the chart properties update interval set at 30 seconds there should be no movement of price or bars on the chart untill 30 seconds has passed.
This is correct until the Bar Timer is added to the chart.
When the Bar Timer has been added to the chart both the price and the bars will change as the ticks change. So you will see movement on the chart as it no longer waits 30 seconds to update.
Give it a try please on say a 1 min chart. You should have a maximum of 2 chart updates within that minute.

Best to have 2 chats open , both 1 minute and set to 30 seconds update interval.
Have bar timer on one chart only. Then watch both charts and you will see the chart with the bar timer update faster then the chart with out the timer
