Thank you for your post.

I just tested here and changing values in the property does look to have an impact.

1.) Which build of NinjaTrader 7 are you running? You can check by clicking Help > About.

2.) Can you give me an example of the settings you're trying to input?

Hi,
I have 22 and 23.
Maybe I am expecting some different action.
I am trying to reduce cpu usage so I thought to slow down the longer time frame charts.
eg: a 15 min chart change the updating to 10 seconds.
I have been watching the price jump up and down and it make no difference to that frequency.
I assumed that that was meant by the interval adjustment.

Very strange - this is working without issue on my end.

Can you please open a new 1 minute chart and a new SuperDOM, then set both to use ES 12-10.

Next, right click in the chart, select Properties, then set the property to '30' and click Apply.

Do you see ticks in the DOM which are not expressed in the chart, or do both look to update at the same frequency?

Hello Kyle,

Followed your instructions to the letter and yes it worked perfectly. The price on the chart remained static and the bar altered every 30 seconds. This is the reaction that I was origionaly expecting.
However, on my EURUSD charts I can assure you it makes no difference. (I tried resetting instruments).

I have tested that setting on my end, and regardless of instrument the update interval is modified on my chart.

Can you please let us know which data provider you are using, as well as go to File-->Workspaces-->New and then please create a new EURUSD chart and change the update interval and see if a new workspace makes a difference for the update interval property.

Thanks for the confirmation.

This would indicate that the original workspace suffers from a corruption. You would need to recreate the original workspace for things to run as expected.

Thanks for your time and trouble. If a workspace is so important perhaps I should do it on a monthly basis. It may rectify other unexplainable hiccups.

If you add the indicator "Bar Timer" to the charts it appears to negate the "Display update interval" setting.

Ok I will say it the other way around.
If you set your chart properties to e.g an update interval of 30 seconds and then you add the indicator "bar timer" you will find (or at least it happens to my charts) that the chart updates much more frequently then the 30 second setting.

I'm not sure that I follow.

Are you saying that the chart updates more frequently or that BarTimer updates more frequently? Please clarify.
