NT7 Strategy Analyzer UI improvements

What chart or strategy to you enable that caused the stuck saving state. If it was a chart what chart type and instrument. Was it a renko chart or a minute chart, etc?

I have several strategies running real-time. I have one chart window with no indicators just chart trader, on my default list - any of the major currency pairs, I don't know which one it was anymore. It was a 5 min timeframe.


Also what data feed provider are you connected too?

IB with FXCM / IQFeed as historical data secondary feed.


Also what anti virus are you running on this PC?
None.

Ok the last time this occured can you rememeber the time and date? If not please wait for it to occur again. Then please send your log and traces files to support at ninjatrader dot com and reference this forum post and put ATTN: Brett in the subject line letting me know what time it occured.

I will need both files. If this does not shed any light on the situation I would like to then duplicate your setup on my side and do some testing to try and duplicate the issue using your steps.


You can find these files at the following locations, please attach these to a return email:

Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20100915 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

Brett, to tell you the truth I'd rather have these visual clues that NinjaTrader has become unstable.

These issues with the status line and the status colour of the running strategies are just symptoms and that's why I told you. I figured you'd find the information useful.

The real problem is with connectivity, downloading backfill data and so on.

Hi Brett,
I have just submitted the logs and traces for your attention. Currently it is showing "Sending mail...." because I just did that, but before it was showing "Saved" or saving... because I started a strategy which downloaded some history.

I have another suggestion for improving the lists of orders on the Orders tab. Since I have about 50 there to look through and I often want to see the cancelled or filled orders as well as the open orders, or perhaps the filled and open but not the cancelled, etc etc, it would be a great enhancement to have a list of status checkboxes so I could click on filled and open but not cancelled. This would give me a much easier time than the current option which only allows me to exclude everything but open orders. Hope that's clear.
