    Adamus,

I have also sent this into development.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

Just a quick one: the Strategy Analyzer is not clearing the status line in the Control Center when it's done. All day my Control Center has been showing "Running backtest on $AUDUSD".

This is build 20 I'm using.

        adamus,

Would you remember the sequence of steps you took to get the status hanged on there? Thanks.

Josh, it does it all the time.

Currently it says "Saving" because I downloaded some historical data in the HDM. That was a while back though.

            Hello,

Can you please send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com from Control Center->Help->Mail To Support and include your log and trace files so that we may look into this. Also please reference this forum post and also the approximate time that this stuck of the status message occured.

I look forward to assisting you further.

I have just sent you the email. Interestingly, the "Sending mail" status update was cleared by NT after it successfully sent the message.

The log/traces did not contain anything out of the ordinary per se. We will still need exact procedures you took to arrive at your observations on your end. I have tried running many backtests here and it has not gotten "stuck". Thank you.

The sticking status just re-occurred but unfortunately after closing NT and going thro the steps I had just undertaken in an attempt to recreate the issue, the issue failed to appear. NT had been running for 24 hours previously - I assume the trigger could have been anything during that time.

                    adamus,

Can you please provide at least some guideline as to what you were attempting and what you may have done prior/had open. Thanks.

I was downloading data from the IB historical data servers into the HDM. I ran into a pacing violation which caused a pop-up to appear. I clicked it away, and the HDM stopped trying to download, showing the UI form fields again, but the Control Centre carried on displaying the "Downloading...." status.

Thanks. We will test around these steps to see if we can get it to reproduce on our end. So far we have been unable to achieve a stuck message.

                          I've got another one.

When I open a strategy or indicator script, it remembers the size of the window (I think) but it doesn't remember where it was positioned.

I always position the windows above the control center's status line, so that I can see the strategy analyzer's progress while I'm working on a script.

Currently, I have to move every window every time I open one.
The way that beta 21 is positioning the script editor windows when I open them is really counter-productive. Some of the window is off-screen so that I am forced to resize the window when the cursor scrolls off-screen downwards.

It should be quick, easy and efficient. I want to be able to open up the script file, edit it, compile it and close it again without taking my hands from the keyboard and faffing around with the mouse.

It might seem like nothing but when you experience it 50 times a day, it gets on your nerves really quickly.

                          Thanks

Build 21. Exactly the same thing is happening. Status says "saving" although the operation finished 5 minutes ago.

I am pretty sure that this is a symptom that NT has run into a stability problem with the strategies it is running, combined with connection issues that caused me to try to abort a download - which it refused to do.

I'll close down NT and re-launch it, undoubtedly the error will not recur at this point.

For the record, in this unstable state I am also not seeing any color for the strategy status despite the strategy 'enable' checkbox having a tick. See this post for further info of the instability I'm talking about: stopping and starting strategies with positions on

                              Thanks

                                Hello,

What chart or strategy to you enable that caused the stuck saving state. If it was a chart what chart type and instrument. Was it a renko chart or a minute chart, etc?

Also what data feed provider are you connected too?

Also what anti virus are you running on this PC, Sorry if this has been asked before.

I look forward to assisting you further.
