NT-7 v.18 Still disconnecting
I have two separate accounts, one with Interactive Brokers & Zen-Fire/Mirus
As of today I have had 7 Connection's lost with Zen-Fire/Mirus, but my IB trading account is working flawlessly on the same computer! I don't think the issue has been resolved?

I am in the exact same situation. I have IB as well. IB never disconnects while zen is still randomly disconnecting/re-connecting maybe 2-3 times today.Originally posted by skyland View PostI have two separate accounts, one with Interactive Brokers & Zen-Fire/Mirus

YoungOne,
For simple disconnects please try again when the new Zen-Fire API is implemented.
For looping disconnect/reconnect that keeps triggering constantly, that should have been resolved over the weekend.
skyland,
Please send it into support [at] ninjatrader [dot] com and reference this thread in the email with Attn: Josh in the subject line. Thanks.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Hello Jason11,
Do you recall any changes on your PC since about a week ago. Did you perhaps install new firewall/anti-virus software that could be interfering the connection?
I see that you have an older version installed as well. I suggest to download and install the latest version on top of your current version.
Please note that NinjaTrader does not dictate when a connection is lost. It operates like a radio receiver in that it receives a signal from your broker and then displays/reports these signals back to you the trader. When a connection is lost, it is the broker's API that determines this and reports this to NinjaTrader which in turn reports this back to the trader.
The common problems that contribute to this are:
- ISP issues
- hardware firewall issues changing IP addresses frequently
- Dynamic ISP address switching the address frequently intraday. Usually this happens once a week but you may want to check with your ISP. If they do change daily, a static IP address may work.
- With Windows XP SP2, if you have more than 10 open TCPIP socket connections open (10 programs making connections through the internet) windows will randomly shut down some connections
- Broker servers having problems
- Software such as (corporate) firewalls, spyware and anti-virus software, that could be interfering the connection

On Going Connection lost issues
I have been getting the same lost connections still several times a day on NT-7 v.18.
I have been on NT-7 since its public beta release and this problem has only been going on for about a week and half. I have spoke to Zen-Fire/Mirus & Ninja with no resolution at all,
The issue has not been resolved.
