B18 - bug report

I turned on NT this morning and loaded up the charts in my workspace.

So far they all look good except for my YM 09-10 charts. They don't show any bars.

I loaded a new YM chart with no template.
I got a chart with bars.
I tried to add a subgraph indicator - ADX or MACD , etc - no subgraph would load.

Please let me know what I should do.

EDIT - I tried to draw a horizontal line and a fib retracement on my YM chart that is giving me problems. I can select fib retracement from the menu and put my cursor on the chart but it will not draw anything....very weird. I think trying to draw a fib retracement on my YM chart was what caused this issue to begin with. However, THANKFULLY, my other charts seem uneffected, SO FAR...

Yes... It seems that drawing tools didn't work on any charts.

Are you saying that you are using B18 and can't get drawing tools to work on any of your charts?

So far, I can get them to work on all of my charts except for my YM chart.

Please clarify what you are experiencing.

On any charts (I have only forex charts).

Has this only started since you changed to B18? or are you still using B17?

Yes, it has started after update to b.18.

well... for some reason, I'm still able to see and draw on all of my charts except for my YM chart. I'm not sure why I can draw on some of my charts but you can't draw on any of them....WEIRD...

Can you pull up a YM 09-10 chart and tell me if you can draw on it? or put a subgraph on it?

@JRKFCH and krolik, could you please create a new chart and check if you can apply drawing objects. When I test it on my end, I can draw objects as expected. If the issue remains, please tell me what kind of chart you have opened. Please send me screenshots of the Data Series menu, chart properties menu and Indicator menu if you have any indicators applied.

@toddaclark, can you please tell me what 'snap mode' is used when you draw objects. Does it make a difference if you select a different setting for 'snap mode'? I suggest to restart NinjaTrader and subsequently create a new YM 09-10 chart again. Check if the issue remains. When I test it on my end, I can draw objects as expected.

I haven't restarted ninja yet but I did open 2 new 6A charts. THE SNAP MODE MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

I started in "snap to bar"... everything worked normal
I switched to "snap to price" and now I can't draw fibs or add subgraphs to that chart or anything. Even after I switch back to "snap to bar" things are still broken on that chart..unable to do anything.

When I switched from "snap to bar" to "snap to price" everything got messed up. I can't even draw anything or add any subgraphs to the 2nd 6A chart now.

Even if I delete the 2 6A charts and start a new 6A chart, the new 6A chart is hosed up...can't do anything.

I think all of my charts are set to snap to bar except I think my YM chart was set to snap to price.

EDIT - I'VE NOW RESTARTED NINJA AND OPENED A NEW 6A CHART... IT'S MESSED UP JUST LIKE IT WAS BEFORE I RESTARTED NINJA - CAN'T DRAW, CAN'T ADD SUBGRAPHS, ETC.

I just repeated the process by opening a new NQ chart.. everything worked great in "snap to bar" mode. When I switched to "snap to price" and selected "horizontal line" and tried to place it on my chart, my subgraph on the chart disappeared, the horizontal didn't plot and the chart would no longer add subgraphs or plot anything.

I experience issues when 'snap mode' is set to Price as well. Most drawing tools do not work. On some occassions, I am able to draw a Fibonacci Time Extension object.

It will cause indicators in separate panel to disappear as well. Thank you for reporting. I will forward your findings to Development to further troubleshoot these issues.
