molecool, there's no dedicated email sent out with upgrade instructions, the arrival of a new beta is commnicated through our 'product annoucement' feature (when you startup) or here -

Important instructions are included in our release notes, however upgrading from 19 - 20 I would not expect any issues, hence it would be great if you could contact me via the Help > Mail to Support feature with your traces and logs so we could take a look.

I upgraded from 15 to 20 as I have been hesitant due to hassle of doing so each time. I wound up sorting it out again by copying my strategies and settings after a clean installation - but boy, what a pain! If you guys continue to make profound changes to your data model then I propose that each release comes with a readme file. I mean that's pretty much standard, right? ;-)

In every release since B16 which has had required changes the special install instructions for people upgrading going from B15 or earlier have been available in multiple locations in the download page, in the release notes, in the online help guide, and in the in-product help guide in bold red text. No changes have been made in this regard since B16.
