When I have seen this it was because a workspace was corrupted. If you look in the folder Documents\Ninjatrader 7\Workspaces\, you can see the workspace .xml files.

I'd suggest you copy them all into a backup directory, then if you know try to figure out which one is causing trouble. I wound up copying a known good file on top of a suspected bad file and that made it work. I don't know what happens if you delete them all, if that lets you start NT7 then you could try copying the backup files back in and loading them one at a time.

        it did not work

        Thanks for your quick reply!

unfortunately, it did not work for me. I deleted all files in the workspace folder and started NT7, 2 files were created in the workspace folder, but I still got the same error.

          Same here!

I downloaded the latest beta just now - BIG MISTAKE!

Unable to launch NT now - even reinstalled the 15 build and still throwing errors. Thanks a LOT - now I have to recreate my entire setup.

Beta updates are supposed to be a step forward not a step backward.

Guys, for upgrading to B16 it would paramount that you followed the exact install instructions as outlined in the email notice we sent out upon release -

Please execute the following steps BEFORE upgrading to this new beta version:
1.Start your current NinjaTrader 7 version
2.Within the Control Center window select File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript Assemblies and remove every single assembly listed
3.Uninstall NinjaTrader 7 via Windows Control Panel
4.Delete the files of the folder /Documents/NinjaTrader 7/bin/Custom (DO NOT delete the sub folders)
            5.Delete the folder C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 32-bit machine OR
Delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 64-bit machine

Please note that any previously installed 3rd party components will NO LONGER be installed.

If you still run into startup issues following those, please post your most recent trace and log file here or contact with those at support at ninjatrader dot com so we can review and suggest additional steps to take.

            Thanks for your support

              Never got that

That is the thing - I never received an email with those instructions. Was only alerted about the update via the pop up.

I had received update notifications until B14 - after that I somehow had dropped off the mailing list.

Guys - it took me 2 hours yesterday to manually rebuild NT7 the hard way. Can you please make sure you have your mailing list in order? Otherwise I will not be able to participate anymore.

I had to do this once already a few months ago. Your sales team needs to get its act together. Sorry for the bad tone of my responses but those were truly two hours of my day I didn't have as I am buried in work.

                    molecool,

Please note that we have not been sending emails for beta releases. The in-product notification popup is the current announcement mechanism in use.

I have the same problem starting the 32 bit version of beta 16. The 64 bit version seems to start but it doesn't support zenfire. So it's useless for me.

                            Softturbo,

Please be absolutely certain you have downloaded and installed SQL Compact 3.5 SP2. Please note if you have a 64 bit computer you will need to install both the 32 bit and 64 bit version as mentioned by the Microsoft installer when you download and install it.

Every time you guys release a new beta I am going through the same hell. Although I'm in the beta tester group I don't receive proper instructions on how to install the new release. Hence the new version crashes on launch and I have to wipe out everything.

CAN I PLEASE BE ADDED TO THE F....ING NOTIFICATION LIST ONCE AND FOR ALL??? WHY IS THIS SIMPLE REQUEST BEING IGNORED?

What do I have to do in order to finally get decent support on this? Every update is turning into a huge disruption on my end. Very frustrating.
