Thanks again. This is a connection bug based on the entitlements of your account. This will be fixed for our next update. However, the next update unfortunately will disallow any existing IQFeed accounts to be used on Kinetick. This was a policy change that needed to be made.Originally posted by trend View PostHi Ray,
This is on Real-time.
I pressed disconnect and then connect (see attached)
Although it shows the connection with green it is disconnected
(no updates)
Thanks,RayNinjaTrader Customer Service

Multiple Data Subscription from the same location
Ray:
IQFeed can only run on one PC at a time per account. If you are running NT on multiple PCs, you need to open separate accounts.
I like to run NT on multiple PCs for performance and stability reasons. Though I have still not traded live with NT, I am gradually getting there.
Would it be possible for Kineticks+NT combination to recognize that multiple PCs are being run from the same location, and not require multiple data-feed subscriptions?
I might be wrong but I think using IQFeed as a data-vendor and then another broker to execute trades, requires a multi-broker NT license. Will Kinetics also require that?

It is possible to link 2 computers running NT7. I do it through RCG running ZenFire.
Executions on #1 shows up on #2. Even did a trade on my laptop from across town from home. Came home and there the trade was.
Before executing any trades call the Broker Trade Support Desk and see how fast they answer.
I am a client not a rep for RCG. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at +1-312-795-7920 or [email protected]

NinjaTrader will not require a multi-broker license to run Kinetick against multiple instances of NinjaTrader however, just like IQFeed, you will require a unique account for each simultaneous Kinetick real time connection you wish to establish. The free EOD connection is the exception to this.Originally posted by aviat72 View PostRay:

I'm trying to use this new feed. I probably have something set up incorrectly but cannot see what I'm doing wrong. I keep getting this message when I try to pull up a daily chart for ES 06-10 - "'Error on loading chart data for 'ES 06-09 Globex' ...". I've attached an image that may help. I do not have this problem with any of my other data feeds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

Thanks Bertrand, I got that to work, but this is unintuitive. I have no data loaded for the 06-09 contract (my data only goes back as far as 10/25/2009), and I was only trying to display daily bars for the 06-10 contract. Yet, NT tried to pull up data for the 06-09 contract. Thinking that maybe I screwed up the instrument data base, I reset it to the installation defaults but it made no difference. The only way I can pull up daily bars for the 06-10 contract is to use the ES ##-## instrument. Strange ...Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Bertrand View PostHi morpheus, please try loading the ES ##-## continuous contract for this long history instead.

This is expected for NT7 default settings, as this is the new autoMerge / continuous contract feature (if not working with the ## - ## expiry) - if you only want data for the specific selected contract, please set the master instrument merge policy setting to 'DoNotMerge' and then reload the data, this should fix the issue seen then.

Well I've wasted some significant time becoming acquainted with
"the new autoMerge / continuous contract feature"
I do seem to be able to get continuous contracts by selecting "DoNotMerge," but the ##-## has never worked for me and doesn't work now either.
My results on my two datafeeds:
Using free Kinetick EOD:
--with "UseGlobalSettings" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES ##-## Globex, I get a message stating "Error on loading chart data for 'ES ##-## Globex.' Unable to load historical data unknown instrument"
--with "DoNotMerge" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES ##-## Globex, I get the same message.
--with "DoNotMerge" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES 06-10 Globex, I get the same message.
--with "UseGlobalSettings" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES 06-10 Globex, I get the same message.
Well, I could have sworn it worked earlier today, but. . . now I don't seem to be able to load ANY chart without getting this message.
Using Mirus/ZenFire datafeed:
--with "UseGlobalSettings" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES ##-## Globex, I get daily data and intraday data from June 2009 through 3/19/2010.
--with "DoNotMerge" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES ##-## Globex, I get daily data and intraday data for Jun2009 through 3/19/2010.
--with "UseGlobalSettings" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES 06-10 Globex, I get a chart with historical daily data for the last year except for a large gap from 3/19/2010 thru today.
--with "DoNotMerge" selected, and opening up a new chart for ES 06-10 Globex, I get daily data and intraday data from Dec2009 through today.
Questions:
Is the ZenFire feed working correctly, or is the ES ##-## supposed to include the current contract also?
What am I suddenly doing wrong with the Kinetick feed?

LG,
For your Kinetick use, please ensure you are only pulling Daily data since that EOD feed would only have Daily.
For Zen, I am unable to reproduce on my end your observations. The ES ##-## pulls one year up to 6/3 for me here. The ES 06-10 pulls one year's full data with no gap either. What I suggest you try to do is reload your historical data to fill in the gaps. You can do this by right clicking on your chart and pressing "Reload historical data". To start afresh you can also delete all data for those instruments from your Historical Data Manager to ensure no cache is interfering with your test scenarios.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service
