    Fast and reliable data feed.

Just a note: I participated in the beta test. There were a few bugs in the beginning, The problems have been quickly solved.

During the last weeks of the testing period it was a high-quality, fast and reliable data feed. I do not hide my opinion, if things go wrong. But no problems with the data feed, just working as expected.

          ninjamouse,

The EOD feed is for end of day data only so you will need to use a Daily chart or higher time frame. Intraday charts would not be available with this feed.

To get an ES chart open all you need to do is type in the instrument ES 09-10 and for Google just type in GOOG.

            Kinetick EOD Data for Futures

            Hi,

            I have connected to the Kinetick feed and opened the strategy analyzer but I can only see SP 500, DOW and NASDAQ instruments;

I want to get EOD historical data for commodities; how do I do this?

            Thanks,

With the EOD, can you get the VIX of TRIN?

              Thanks

Hi, how do we set up for Contnuous BackAdjusted Contracts in Kinetick?

                    Thanks,

I am trying to reconcile the differences between the Kinetick EOD feed and the current ZenFire Data. I am seeing significant differences, between all values (OHLC) values being received. I understand the settlement prices for closing so that does not bother as much, by large differences between openings or Highs etc are very disconcerting. I was going to sign-up for the realtime service but need to understand why the large differences.

I have reset the DB, the instrument list and even delete entire sets of historical data from the local DB, but get the same data.

I have attached two screen shots to show the differences between the EOD data recieved from ES 09-10 from Kinetick and the Daily bars stored from ZenFire. I run the instrument default hours (CME Index RTH).

My first look at this is that the EOD data feed from kinetick ignores the RTH template???

                        Hi dnoff, trend

dnoff: I will have an answer for you shortly, please allow me some time to investigate further.

trend: You can enable this at "Tools>Account Connections>Kinetick name>Change" then restart NinjaTrader.

I use daily Kinetick data and have no discrepancies. Kinetick EOD takes the Globex high and low and the settlement price, such as reported by the exchange. Please compare with the data from CME, which can be found here

If you use Zenfire with the CME Index RTH session, you will of course get different data:
Zenfire will then use RTH open, RTH high, RTH low and close. Kinetick returns ETH open, ETH high, ETH low and settlement. There could be actually four different values!

Also note that there are some two day sessions - please see calendar of the exchange. Kinetick correctly will produce one bar for the two day session (a session is defined by trade date and has the same settlement date). With 24 hour Zenfire data you will get two RTH sessions.

                            Hi dnoff,

I was to verify Harry's comments. The times quoted for Kinetick daily bars are for the true session begins and end times. So for example, yesterday's Open value comes from first tick at 4:30 EST from the previous day.

                              Thanks Harry and Tim,

Is there any way to get RTH based daily bars then?

Unfortunately not, the data will be reported as you see it in the Historical Data Manager.
