Issue with HA Volume Charts

    Issue with HA Volume Charts

    For the past three days, my Heiken Ashi Volume Charts have been inoperable, i.e. they initially load the price action and do not update.

    I then proceed to delete the chart, recreate it and it seems to work.

    Everything else seems to be working correctly.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello gyoung,

    I suggest to check what setting is used for End date in the Data Series menu of the chart. Make sure it holds the current date in order to receive real-time data in the chart.

    Once you recreated the chart and save it in your workspace, does the issue recur the next session?

      The end date is being set correctly.

      Once the chart is correctly created and saved in my workspace, I exit NT and upon restart, have the same issue.

      This only started occurring 3 days ago. I have not made any changes at all during this time.

        Hello Gary,

        Does it occur in this workspace only? I suggest to create a brand new workspace and check if the issue persists.

        If so, please send the newly created workspace to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Please reference this forum thread and put 'Attn Jason' in the subject header.

              Can you please provide me a reproducible scenario so I can test the same setup on my end.

              What windows does your workspace contain, so I can recreate it on my end? Please tell me what data feed provider you connect to as well.

                My development machine contains the following charts:
                - 6E 1 Min HA
                - 6E HA 250 Volume
                - TF 1 Min HA
                - 6B 1 Min HA
                - FDAX 1 Min HA

                My Trading machine only has the 6E charts

                I am connecting via Zen Fire

                  I am able to reproduce the issue on my end. Once I created a Heiken Ashi volume chart and save it in a workspace, it does not receive real-time data subsequent sessions.

                  It only occurs when the workspace is left opened and the workspace is opened automatically the next session. When I closed the workspace before exiting NinjaTrader, the HK volume chart did receive real-time data when I manually opened the workspace (File-->Workspace-->Open Workspace) the next session.

                  I have forwarded the issue to Development. As soon as there is news regarding the matter, I will let you know. Thank you for reporting.

                    Jason,
                    While you are at it, can you please get the development team to review the HA tick chart implementation as well.
                    I pulled up a tick chart due to the volume issues and these have issues as well.
                    Looks like the data from 12AM until your initial load data is corrupted as well.

                      Hello Gary,

                      The issue has been fixed in the next beta version. Please test it once the new beta version has been released to check if the issue persists on your end.

                      As per the corrupted HK tick data, can you please tell me what instrument you have selected. When I test a HK tick chart as per the ES 06-10, I receive data as expected.

                        I am using a 6E 06-10 250 Tick chart.
                        I created it new and todays initial data is not correct. It corrects itself after creation.
                        Please review the attached diagram.

                          I am not sure if I follow - the data is corrected once the chart is created?

                          Can you please close the current chart and create a new one. Check if the chart displays data as expected.

                            The price action is correct after the chart is created, not from midnight to creation.
                            I just deleted the chart and recreated it.
                            Same as before.

                              Can you please disconnect and re-connect to Zen-Fire. Subsequently create a brand new chart and check if the requested data is loaded. I suspect you currently do not have a connection to the historical data server.

                              When I test such a chart on my end, I receive data as per the attached screenshot.
