    Multitimeframe problem

    Support,

I loaded an ES chart with 30 sec timeframe on the top pane and 30 sec heiken Ashi timeframe on the bottom pane. The bottompane is showing 1 min bars in intervals of 1 minute, instead of 30 sec bars. This is on NT 7 beta14. Is this a known bug/problem? Will this be fixed in the next release ? I hope Heiken ashi is supported in nt 7 on multitimeframe seconds charts.

    Thanks

Please see image. It is working here. This is what I did.

    - File New Chart
    - Added 30 second chart ES 06-10
    - Right click > Data Series
    - Added Heiken Ashi based on 30 seconds
    - Get image you see

What did you different than I?

    Thanks

Thanks for the chart Ray. If you see in the chart you posted in the bottom Hieken Ashi pane, even though it says 30 secs chart, it is infact a 1 min Heiken Ashi chart. You can see that by the number of bars in the bottom pane, which is half the number of bars in the top pane. Also it shows in the data box as well, that each bar is ending at end of the minute in the bottom pane.

I noticed this problem with multimeframe with other seconds timeframe also. Have to test and see if ticks and volume chart has similar multitimeframe problem. Would be great if ninja team can look into the problem and fix it.

      Thank you

          mmtrader,

Can you replicate this each and every time? I can no longer reproduce it here. It comes up with 30 seconds bars instead of the 1 minute bars you report.

If you can reproduce, can you please zip up the following folder and send it to my attention via support (at] ninjatrader com.

          Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache
          Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\minute
          Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\tick

          Thanks

            mmtrader,

            Disregard my last post.

            - I can reproduce on Beta 14
            - I can't reproduce on our current pre-beta 15 source code base thus it looks like its resolved

Thanks Ray. Glad to know that it is not happening in your pre-beta 15 release. As I noticed it in beta 14 with seconds Heiken Ashi timeframe Will wait for beta 15 release, and retest to check if it shows up in any other timeframes.

                Ray,

One request, would be great if NT 7 allows loading same timeframe chart on the same timeframe on the same pane or bottom pane. Like for example ES 60 min bar chart and then a ES 60 min chart as well (like a line chart, or other,..etc).

                Thanks

Thanks for suggestion. I don't see this changing any time soon as there were design reasons why we purposely prevented that.

I want to update that, I noticed this problem even when a single data series is loaded on the chart. When I started NT 7 beta 14 at end of day, I noticed that when I load a seconds based HeikenAshi chart, it loads only 1 minute bars for most of the day and it is loading the seconds based bars only during the time NT 7 collects the data realtime.

A regular seconds based chart like 30 sec loads fine for entire day,but when 30 sec heiken ashi is loaded, it loads 1 min chart for most of the day and 30 sec chart from like last 2 mins or so. Appears to me,like a bug in HeikenAshi, as it seems to work in realtime only. I used zenfire and also iqfeed for loading historical tick data.

I was able to reproduce this on my end within NinjaTrader 7.0.0.14 however I was not able to replicate within the next release.

Please let me know if the issue persists on your end after installation of the next Beta release of NinjaTrader 7.

Thanks Chris for trying it out.

When would beta 15 be release be likely, within a week or two?

No promises but more like days vs weeks. We are trying to iron out a few last minute items before releasing B15.

I'll second this one. I wish NT7 had this feature.
