    Ray/Josh,

Heiken ashi bars type was working fine in nt-7 beta 15,..and the bars type was very nice way to use Heiken ashi,..instead of HeikAshi indicator(which uses draw objects in nt 6.5,..and resource intensive when set to tick by tick).

What was the reason, such a nice bars type HeiknAshi feature has been removed in nt-7 beta 16?

Would be great, if you can please reconsider having Heiken Ashi as bars type,..rather than as an indicator.

As mentioned in the release notes, there were unfortunately unresolvable issues with the HA as a bars type. As a bars type you were looking at inaccurate numbers for all your HA values.

The included HA indicator in B16 is significantly improved over the NT6.5 indicator.

        Josh,

Can you please elaborate on HA indicator improvements compared to nt 6.5

The Heiken Ashi indicator in beta-16, how much resource intensive is it when set to tick by tick update? Will it have any crashing problems like in nt 6.5,when used on long term chart (like 20 days of 1 min chart,..etc) ?

The bartypes HA code, even though its inaccurate (and not supported in B16) , will it work in nt-7 beta 16, if it is copied from beta15 to corresponding directory on beta16?

          mmtrader,

Please just try it. There is no issue with crashing with a 20 days 1min chart. There is no issue with even a 365 days 1min chart running of course with CalculateOnBarClose = false. CPU usage is 1-2%.

There is no support for the defunct HA bars type. If you want to copy it over that is an endeavor you will have to undertake on your own.

            Josh,

Tried it in NT 7 beta 17 today, heiken ashi looks stable. Will report back if I notice any performance problems in heiken Ashi.

question,..can this nt 7 heikenashi indicator be exported and loaded into nt 6.5 with a different name? do you know if it will work in nt 6.5 ? Just trying to see if this can be used in nt 6.5,..til nt 7 goes production.

            Thanks

Unfortunately this indicator cannot be exported and used within NinjaTrader 6.5.
