Ninja Trader 7 will not boot with autoconnect
I set Ninja Trader 7 beta 11 to auto connect to Zen Fire, MBTrading and Yahoo automatically and now it hangs when booting. It starts to boot then goes blank. If I end the Ninja Trader exe in task manager, I am able to boot 6.5. I am unable to open the 7 control panel to uncheck the auto connect boxes. Tried auto connecting to all 3 data providers at one time so I don't know what would have happened if I tried only 1 at a time. Using Windows 7 home premium. Any files or things you would like me to try, or should I just uninstall and reinstall?Tags: None

Uninstall/reinstall is not required at this time.
- Do you have the correct MBT Navigator version installed? Please see here for the correct version http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ad.php?t=21024
- If that does not make a difference...
- Let us know and I will have someone try and reproduce this on MondayRayNinjaTrader Customer Service

I do have the correct MBT Navigator. I left the program booting overnight and the control panel was up this morning. I unchecked the auto boot on MBT and Yahoo and left only Zen Fire on auto connect, and it works properly. I haven't tried adding back multiple connections because I don't want to lose the program. Also, assuming it still makes a difference which order you connect to data providers, is there a way in 7 to set the order of provider connection?

- Yes, you can set the order in which they connect by ordering alphabetically under Tools > Accounts Connections.
- Before you re-order, can you tell me in what order were they auto-connecting that caused the problem?
- I will then have someone test this on Monday.RayNinjaTrader Customer Service

My problem may be with MBTrading. I am using a free trial and when I connect to MBT in 7, no matter whether I set it up as a live or demo connection, it says in the bottom of both the 6.5 and 7 control panels that it is "Connecting - MBTrading," although for quotes or charting MBT still gives me current data. MBT Navigator opens and connects fine outside of Ninja Trader.

This has nothing to do with the other thread. This is about auto-connect when markets are not trading and the program will not open at all. Nothing here about dropped connections.
Anyway, this is jeff2468 's thread. I am just saying I have the same problem that he has reported here.
