I get a similar message when trying to save a workspace except it tells me that my "Indicator could not be serialized". It gave me that message for every indicator in my workspace, both for my custom indicators and NT's own indicators. So, then I created a new empty workspace and saved it. I opened one chart (NQ 06-10, 150 tick bars) and put in NT's very own TickCounter indicator with its default settings. When I tried to save the workspace I received "Indicator 'NinjaTrader.Indicator.TickCounter' could not be serialized. Please refer to help for more information on serializing indicators."

I continue to have the de-serialization error as well.
I have been reinstalling .Net which seems to resolve the issue for a couple of days and then it returns.
Looks like there may be a different issue surfacing.

Please make sure you have uninstalled ANY 3rd part NinjaScript archive. Thanks

                I did the following:
                1. I exported all my custom indicators.
                2. Uninstalled NT7B11. Deleted NT7B11 directories.
                3. Fresh install of NT7B11.
                4. Imported my custom indicators that I had exported in step 1.
                5. Created new workspaces and applied the NT indicators and my custom indicators.

Result: All my indicators work and I can save my workspaces. Hooray!!!

I don't know why I had to reinstall everything fresh to clear up the serialization error because I didn't have to change any of my custom indicators but the totally fresh install of NT7B11 and then re-importing my custom indicators fixed it.

i'm having the same problem and this is a brand new installation of version 7. I've never had v7 installed on this computer. Am trying the solution the other user applied.

Apparently that solution worked for me too.

You're welcome but go to sleep...us old guys who can't sleep should be the only ones up at these hours. Of course I'm making an assumption that you are a pretty young fella.

                            a) I'm old too
                            b) I'm in German timezone these days
