What I would need are exact steps you take to reproduce the improper charts, from very beginning to end. All of my own testing here has proved to be unfruitful.

Fat Bar Width When Expanding Chart....

Josh...
Looking at zooming on a chart and the associated bar widths a bit more...I think it is just a matter of learning where and how one sets bar widths initially at a particular compression level of choice on a chart (and similarly where one resets bar widths also) that will effect how the bar widths appear as one zooms in and out...here is a short video on the basics of this...

Another example...
Here is another example...when applying a multi-series overlay line to a max compression chart...the line gets quite fat very quickly when expanding the chart...applying the same line to a chart that has been expanded 4 or 5 levels....that line stays relatively thin OK....
Right screenshot below applying at max compression & then expanding...
Left screenshot applying at 4/5 zoom-out levels, line then stays thin expanding & contracting...
Incidentally....an option to also make lines dotted or dashed may be good...
Thanks...

Alfred,
Development has informed me this is expected. When you try to attach things to max compressioned charts there is an internal value that is set smaller than what is shown in the UI display. When you set it to something like 1 or 2 you are actually increasing the width significantly more than just 1x or 2x larger as you start expanding. You should apply your things at the compression level you want. Also, please ensure you are on B11.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Caution...diatribe below....
Josh...I am on B11...
Most (the majority perhaps) of the time one is working with charts at max compression...I believe it makes sense that the width would pretty much remain at the width shown in the data series box if something such as a multi series overlay line is applied at max (or any) compression, (or if a change to the width of bars is set or adjusted at max compression)...why, in any case, would anyone ever want something to increase in width 1 increment for every level of expansion ??.....which can often accidentally happen the way this is set up currently...this may be "expected" by development, but my feeling is....this should be changed / improved...when you have the time of course....the current solution is just simply lacking in elegance....of course one can always expand their chart 5/6/7 levels before changing bar or line widths (so one will hopefully get the desired width then when expanding and contracting)....then re-compress the chart....but why should one always have to monkey around with such a technique...??
As ever...thanks....
