    price window bug

Hi , the picture attached shows a daily chart of ES , the cross hair shows the correct date for today's bar but the mini price window shows it to be 1/14/2010. Please report it to your developers.

Which provider did you pull the historical data from? Thanks

Esignal. Does it have anything to do with the provider?

I don't know. However, it's relevant for reproducing. We'll get back to you shortly.

          I could not reproduce.
          a) what timezone are you in?
          b) which session settings did you apply as you opened the chart? <use instrument session> or else?
          c) did you modify any or the system's sessions defs?

          Thanks

Time zone is US eastern time.
            session template is Default 24/7
No in the instrument manager I did change the session template to Default 24/7 for ES only.I also have made several custom session templates but it shouldn't have anything to do with this issue.
Also I have this problem with other instruments as well . A chart of NQ is attached with same problem. Remember you have to use a daily chart. Intraday charts are fine.

I just tried it with a different computer and could reproduce it again.
wonder why you can't do that.

Then this is expected as 14th 00:00:00 this is the exact time where the session def you set for the ES ends.

Can you please explain more clearly what you mean by "this is expected as 14th 00:00:00 this is the exact time where the session def you set for the ES ends". I'm afraid I don't follow you.
And How do you explain other instruments like NQ which I have not touched.

Please keep two points in mind.
1- We have not reached 00:00:00 of the 14th yet for the price window to show the 14th.
2-As I said I tried the daily charts with the second computer and could reproduce the problem and the session template (in instrument manager) of the second computer was never changed.

Daily bars are positioned on chart at the end of the session for the instrument defined.

So this issue has nothing to do with me changing the session template in the instrument manager section. Right?
As you say : " Daily bars are positioned on chart at the end of the session for the instrument defined ".

                          Absolutely it does.

If you either changed the session definition itself or assigned a different session to an instrument (which is what you did), it would have immediate impact on what "intraday timestamp" your daily bars had (which is the session end of the underlying session).

But I keep saying that I can produce the same situation with my second computer which has the same default settings that comes with a fresh installation.
So I ask again why is it that The cross hair value and the mini price window value with daily charts don't match while with intraday bars there is no such problem?
sorry but I have to get to the bottom of this issue since many of my indicators need the proper bar stamps to produce accurate results.

I'm not sure how to make it any clearer: your daily bars have a timestamp of the end of the underlying session of that instrument. If you see 14th 00:00, then the session for your instrument ends exactly then.
