I have already understood your point. You have repeated yourself several times but that is not the issue I’m raising. Please forget about everything and let’s start all over again. I have attached several screenshots of V6.5 and V7 .
Please take a look at each screen shots with notes attached. Note the problem I am referring to doesn’t exist with V6.5 but it is the case with V7. I have not touched the default setting of V7 it is as it is with a fresh installation. The historical data I have attached explains the extent of the problem and my indicators which rely on correct stamping of daily bars are not working properly.
Bottom line is if you say the issue is due to the fact that default 24/7 is used as session template then you give me session parameters that covers 24 hours of trading and gives me correct stamping as well.
(Since the max file size to attach is 98KBytes. I am sending the files to your attention to NT support email address.)

      yellowTrader,

Your screenshots show accurate behavior. When you use Default 24/7 you have the ending timestamp for your daily bars at midnight. The midnight date will show up as the next day's date, but that is still indeed the correct time.

      Example: 1/15 00:00
The 1/14 day's information closes at 1/15 00:00 when you use Default 24/7. This is why you get a 1/15 00:00 print. Your citing of the discrepancy between x-axis and data box is expected for the same reason as well. The bar itself contains 1/14 information, but when you look at the timestamp it is midnight of 1/15.

If you want, you could try making a session definition that ends on the same day with 11:59 as the end time. Then you can compare dates exactly, but you will lose that one last minute.

Then this counts as wrong behavior for NT platform i.e. how am I suppose to define today's bar for my indicators? With tomorrow's time stamp? That will create a lot of confusion.
I am sure you can tell me how to adjust my session template to get 24 hour trading and have correct time stamps as well. Infact you should include such a template as one of the system templates for your next beta version.

NinjaTrader has always used end of bar timestamps. When using a 24 hour daily chart, the end of a day is the same as the very beginning of the next day. This is reflected accurately by the timestamp shown. Only at exactly midnight does a full 24 hours complete. Once you reach midnight your dates change over to the next day. That is just the fact of the matter.

You can play with session templates yourself if you don't like it to be midnight because of this caveat to calendar days. Just create yourself a session template that uses 11:59PM instead of 12:00AM.

1/15 00:00 is the proper ending timestamp of the 1/14 daily bar when using 24/7 while in the Eastern time zone. Not sure why you feel you cannot program indicators against this. If you are using ToDay() just subtract the necessary offsets.
