pages not numbered

Individual pages are not numbered. I don't see the logic here. There are several
pages at the link below, as an example. Finding where I was yesterday is possible
by going forward X times to find what I need to learn.
Every page should have a different link. I could easily create shortcuts at my
Desktop to go where I want quickly.

If you want the link of a specific page, right click in the help area (not the menu on the left) and select properties to get the actual link of the page.

Sorry I must be missing it. Do you mean the HELP below the title bar?

You will need to right click in the "Close" section of the webpage that displays the "Definition", "Syntax", etc and then select "Properties" to get the actual link.

Having to right click -> properties just to get specific link to specific portion of help area is one of the usability reasons why I don't like the frames implementation for the HTML Help.
