Searching from forum bugs

If I try to search: ninja trader this request can not be aborted





I have problem ,because this is not fading away, when opening new chart.

Search gives error, you search text is too short I think there is plenty of characters.

Hi kekkis,

Unfortunately, you will need to use word with a minimum of 4 letters or you will receive the error you experienced.

Please go to Tools-->Options-->Misc-tab and click Repair DB.

Connect to your data feed provider and open up a new chart. Check if the issue persist.

Searching

I maybe in wrong field if I cant calculate four. Please read ealier posting.

Upon using the search function in the forum, you can only use words with a minimum of four letters.

"ninja trader this request can not be aborted" will not work since, "can", "not" and "be" have less letters than 4.

I assumed the "this request can't be aborted" window remained on your screen after the chart got loaded. In order to try to resolve this, I suggest to go to Tools-->Options-->Misc-tab and click Repair DB. Now, open up a new chart and check if the issue persist.

Allow search for Instrument Symbols

I have been frustrated by the 4 character word search minimum, which prevents searches for threads containing specific 2 and 3 character Instrument symbols. I suggest that forum search be changed to index words that are Instrument symbols and allow searches with these symbols.
