Vertical line all panels in NT 8 ??

Will a vertical line extend to all panels in NT 8 ??

It may also be a good option to be able to select more than 1 instrument for a global vertical line selection...then one could easily see similar pivots in several instruments...

Vertical lines extending to all panels is in our system and is being tracked with id SFT-654. I have added your vote to this request. In the meantime, this can be accomplished with a script. Attached is an example for NT7 that could be adapted to work for NT8.

Hi Alfred,

I did remove the script. This script will duplicate any manually drawn lines to any panel that has this indicator on it, but does not replicate to panels that do not have the indicator on it. So it sorta works, but you have to have the indicator on each panel you want to extend the lines to.

Would you still like this script?

I would like something that works with Ninjas vertical line tool when set to attach all charts.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

If you draw a vertical line and set this to All Charts, this will show on all panels that have that instrument selected.

What is the incorrect behavior about this?

Yes !!...that will work...had a lower panel with indicators ...now have added the insrument as transparent...& vertical lines now show in panel..

Problem is other draw tools set to show all charts also now show in lower panel....too much clutter...would prefer if just vert line showed 2nd panel....

Also discovered adding the instrument to a lower panel locked Ninja up...
cannot remove anything now....suggestions...??

update....went to Task Mgr & deleted chart....other charts OK now...

Got it working (sort of)...you add a 2nd data series to 2nd panel slightly different than data in panel 1....set to show global objects...vertical line plots both panels OK then.
