Bugreport - backtest results lost

Scenario:
1. Run longer backtest / optimization...
2. During that long process open some previously saved backtest results
3. When backtest finishes, the backtest results will be never shown. They are just lost and never displayed again

Thanks for your post.

With NinjaTrader you can open multiple Strategy Analyzer windows. You will need to open another Strategy Analyzer window to review other results while your backtest is running.

Understand, that it possible,
but it is the design flaw in the UI, that leads to the loss of backtest results.

Imagine how it is, if the backtest/optimization takes long time.
It runs 5 hours and in the meantime you open some previously saved backtests...
The backtest still runs... and shows you the remaining in the lower right corner... 2,5 hours.

You come back to PC after 2,5 hours and where are the backtest results?

They are lost and never displayed, because of some previous action 2,5 hours ago... The user has to run the long running backtest again...
That is really horrible scenario and design flaw in the UI.

Should be reported and improvement should be done.

Possible solutions:
Backtest results should be always displayed after they finish.
OR
Opening saved-results while running backtest should be blocked.
