Free Version of MarketReplay.NET AddOn allows to download "active" instruments. That means if you are downloading something that wasn't trade-able at the selected date you won't get that useless data. Also you will see a date range for front month instruments. For instruments like CL with rollovers every month this is very important feature.

      Hello,

      Thank you for your post,

The Replay data for NinjaTrader 8 is formatted differently than it was in NinjaTrader 7, so MarketReplay.net would need to offer data specifically for use with NinjaTrader 8 for it to play successfully.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if NT8 also offered the same ability that these products do for NT7.

Is there an issue with providing an ability to put a date range in for downloading Market Replay data (rather than just a single date)?

        Thanks

          You can re-kick it off.

Just be warned that if you don't clean out the replay folder, the data is merged in with previous files.

            Hi guys,

this update could probably be useful to members looking at this more recently (as of 02/2021).

            1) https://marketreplay.net/ sad to say seems no longer supported or active, the download links seem to be broken. One could obtain the free version of their add-on (from Google's WayBack machine)(cached page), but the plug-in will not work with NT8 (issues an error message during import).

            2) www.marketdatareplay.com seem to be now redirected to: https://secondbraintrading.com/mrdd-eas/ where a free version does not seem to be offered (there is a 30-day "free" trial, which I don't consider "free"). The paid version is currently:
            a) $90 / year, or
            b) $9 / month

Does someone keep a free version from either of the two sources, that are willing to share? ?
