Thanks Brandon, it will be a good idea to include them in NT8.
I know about 3rd party ad-ons (some are questionable, not real MP and OF), my idea is about having a very serious trading and charting platform in NT, like some other platforms, for example THINKORSWIM...

i use TPO/Volume Profile software from fin-alg.com and am quite happy with it

i'm desperately wanting NOFT order flow software as it is by far the best implimentation of the strategy available on NT7 - really increadible software developed by a trader

this "business" can be very frustrating - and it certainly isn't cheap
if you want something that requires talent and expertise to put together you usually have to pay for it -- especially if it works

Thanks for posting.
I'm familiar with all software on the subject - stand alone or add-ons for NT.
My idea is to have such tools as part of NT, great trading platforms are having them.

NOFT is good, not sure is the best, must see more.

There is no ETA for the NinjaTrader 8 release.
The search is prevented from being ran more frequently to prevent overloading of the server.

Possible reporting feature for NT8

Hello.

In NT7, there are some flukes with how the program reports number of trades on the account performance summary screen.

For example, If you have one order of 100 contracts, NT7 will report the number of trades based upon how many executions took place for that one order. If one execution happened with 50 contracts, that counts as 1 trade. If the other 50 contracts from that order executed at same time but 1 contract each, that is counted as 50 trades. So total trades for the position is 51 trades, but it was only 1 order.

Would it be possible in NT8 to have it list the number of times one is in a position in a market? If I scale into a position, it counts them as separate trades. Could you add a feature which shows how many times you are in the market/instrument, regardless of the number of contracts?

If I buy 1 contract, then 10, and then 20 in the same instrument, I have 31 contracts, but am in the instrument once. I have 1 position. When I sell all the contracts, I am out of the position. So it would be counted as being in that market once.

Possible to implement in NT8?

I know exactly what you are saying, and quite honestly it is very surprising that any front end software, which wants to be taken seriously, not to have this functionality. It seems like such a primitive way of counting trades in this day and age.

At this time there is no release date or ETA available for the beta.
All I can say that is holding up the release is developing NinjaTrader 8. Our team is part of the bug testing and what has been developed is working well.
Any sort of announcements on NinjaTrader 8 and progress our CEO Ray Deux has continued to provide preview presentations on Big Mike Trading's forum. I would recommend to continue to check there for any future presentations that may become available.

Will all the older indicators will be compitble with the new NT ??
