NT8 Upgrade

I've been using an NT7 demo version. While I do have a licensed version to allow trading, it obviously does not contain many useful features. I am considering buying a lifetime licensed version of NT7. If I purchase NT7, will I just be able to download a free upgrade when NT8 is released or will I have to purchase another license?

Thanks for your post.

In the past upgrades from previous versions to new ones have allowed old license keys to be used with new versions of the software. This is not expected to change for NinajTrader 8.

Ninja 8 release

I, like many others have been waiting a long time for a version 8 release announcement. It was a year ago, you had demonstrations on big mikes regarding it. Its been in beta testing for longer than that. Can you give us anything to lean on? I'm very close to throwing in the towel and going with Sierra or another vendor who has bid/ask data native. I don't care if its a few months out or a year. Give us some kind of time frame, or I'm gone.

NinjaTrader 8 is not yet in beta. There is no ETA on the current release date or beta release. July 2nd is our CEOs presentation on Big Mike and perhaps more details will be available at that time.

I really hope you are close to releasing this - but only because I really want the ability to use the latest C# functionality with await/async etc - such a pain to have to drop to .NET 3.5 for my models.

Thank you for this information. In case you have already the answer, do you know if it will be possible to install NT8 beta 3 while still using NT 7 ? Or is it necessary to install NT 8 beta 3 on another computer ?

Simple but practical suggestion--I would like to be able to move strategies listed (lines) in the control center work space. Exactly like the market analyzer where instruments can be moved in any order by clicking and holding the left mouse button. I like to group certain strategies together.
