Arc Drawing Tool not very usefull
I would like to be able to use an arc tool to show rounded tops and rounded bottoms. The current arc tool can only be used in a vertical manner and not in a horizontal manner. Additionally, the arc tool has a line that connects the two ends of the arc and you cannot disable this line. Many charting tools support this functionality. -
In agreement
Yes i would also like the arc tool to be of use when positioned horizontally, like a half circle/sphere shape, regards GD.

I absolutely agree with the previous posts regarding the arc tool. In its present form, the arc tool is completely useless...you would be better off just taking the thing out altogether. If you want it to be really useful, then remove that infernal line that connects the two anchor points AND fix it so you can draw from any angle....if that is too challenging, then at least fix it to where the arc is horizontal. Acouple of changes can make a HUGE difference.

The half-moon drawing tool that you request identifies nothing, other than being an optic. It is even more useless as far as trading is concerned unless you explain how it is used to make you money (maybe it can be used to draw a gradient rainbow over a pot of gold).
Perhaps a free-hand mouse drawing tool would be a lot more useful for annotation and free drawing, say a cup and handle.Last edited by aligator; 01-25-2019, 04:13 PM.

Exactly, you got it right! It's just a visual thing, like many other ninjatrader drawing features.Originally posted by aligator View Post

But the topic is, that the arc tool should be able to draw a half circle.Last edited by tulx2305; 01-30-2019, 05:19 AM.

Looking at the existing arc draw tool....something like this may be useful to suggest the form of
a parabolic move possibly...if you have a target to draw the arc to....one example shown below....
Perhaps allow user inputs for the form of the parabola ...??

Josh....here are other examples using the arc tool with trend channel targets...
...perhaps have a way to offer three or so parabolic arc plots....thin, medium & fat maybe....??You do not have permission to view this gallery.

One more thing....always draw from the beginning of a move to the end of a move, in both up & down moves.
The arc must always fall on the right side of the setup line...and the pointy end of the parabolic arc must always be at your end target point. You do not have permission to view this gallery.
